H0uses Clondalkin nursing home

Our Story

We began with a simple idea: to create nursing homes where we would be proud to have our own families live. Over three decades later, that belief still guides everything we do.

From our beginnings in the early 1990s to managing 11 homes today, we have grown steadily while keeping a strong local, community-based approach. Many of our staff have been with us for years, building trusting relationships with residents and families.

H0uses Clondalkin Nursing Home

H0uses Clondalkin Nursing Home is part of an Irish-owned company that has been caring for older people since 1993. We manage 11 nursing homes across Ireland, all focused on providing safe, compassionate and professional care in a warm, homely environment.

Our Clondalkin home offers a full range of care options, including long-stay residential care, respite care, dementia care, convalescence and end-of-life care. Whether someone is with us for a few weeks or many years, we aim to make every day comfortable, meaningful and dignified.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide person-centred care that respects each resident as an individual, supports their independence, and promotes their wellbeing in every way – physical, emotional, social and spiritual.

We do this by:

  • Listening carefully to residents and families

  • Creating personalised care plans

  • Providing consistent, nurse-led care

  • Offering meaningful activities and social connection

  • Maintaining a safe, comfortable and homely environment

Our Values

Respect
We treat every resident, family member and staff member with dignity, kindness and understanding.

Compassion
We recognise that moving into residential care is a big change. We support residents and families with empathy and patience.

Quality
We work to high professional standards, continuously improving our care, training and services.

Community
We see our homes as part of the local community and encourage connections with neighbours, schools, clubs and local groups.

Trust
Families trust us with the care of their loved ones. We honour that trust through honest communication and reliable, consistent care.

We work closely with external professionals – GPs, hospitals, therapists and specialist teams – to ensure residents receive well-coordinated, holistic care.

Life in Our Home

We want H0uses Clondalkin to feel like home, not a hospital. That means:

  • Encouraging residents to bring personal items, photos and familiar belongings

  • Supporting individual routines, hobbies and preferences

  • Marking special occasions – birthdays, anniversaries and seasonal celebrations

  • Welcoming family and friends as partners in care

There is time for quiet moments and privacy, as well as shared activities and social interaction. Every resident is different, and we adapt our approach to suit them.

Working in Partnership with Families

We believe care works best when we work together.

  • We involve families in assessments and care planning where appropriate

  • We keep families informed and encourage open, honest communication

  • We invite feedback and suggestions to help us improve

  • We support families through difficult decisions, including the transition into care and end-of-life stages

Part of a Wider Group

Being part of a group of 11 nursing homes means we can:

  • Share best practice and experience across our homes

  • Invest in staff training and development

  • Maintain consistent standards of quality and safety

  • Learn from feedback and continually improve

At the same time, each home, including Clondalkin, has its own identity and community spirit.
